2 out of 5 stars Coming to an end...   September 3, 2010
L. Mumbray-Williams (UK)
I've read and enjoyed most of the Skinner series but the last two or three have seemed weaker than their predecessors and having read this one I've already passed it to my local charity shop. I really can't recommend it and I think it's time Skinner retired to a place in the sun.

4 out of 5 stars Yet another great offering from Quintin Jardine   August 12, 2010
History lover (UK)
Quintin Jardine has done it again. A thoroughly enjoyable read which I could not put down.

The story is good as usual, but not sure how much one person even Skinner could do - and how many people all over the world can he know.

If there is a next book perhaps we could read more about some of the other characters in the book.

That being said I am looking forward to yet another installment from this author.

5 out of 5 stars new skinner   August 6, 2010
Paul Harding (uk)
Yet another great read from one of UK's under-rated crime writers- others? Stuarts Pawson & Macbride/Hewson/Hurley.

4 out of 5 stars A Rush of Blood   July 29, 2010
Silver Surfer
It is good to see Bob Skinner back using his hunches and coming up with the right answers again. As usual there is a twist in the tail and you have to wait until the end to find out who dunit. There are numerous murders to be solved, the first suicide happens as the book opens.
A good read and once again a book that is very hard to put down.

5 out of 5 stars Quinton Jardine`s "A Rush of Blood"   July 21, 2010
GF Edwards (Lancashire)
This book was just as thrilling as his previous Bob Skinner mysteries and it was very difficult to put it down for meals and other essential distractions.
