Plenty of projects, a bit too much pink! July 12, 2010 Donna Wilber (Derbyshire, UK) I like the range of projects available in this book, some very easy and straight forward but some for more experienced sewers to get their teeth into, but I was a bit disappointed that so many of the projects were toys - rabbits, cats, dogs, dolls - and these were a bit samey for my tastes.
As other reviewers have commented on, there is a lot of pink which gets a bit sickly after a while but, of course, you can pick the fabric you want to use, you don't have to stick with pink roses and candy stripes.
Overall, I would recommend this book - after a leisurely read through with a cuppa, I was itching to get to the fabric store to try my hand at something.
my best ever sewing for the home book June 26, 2010 yvonne kirman the book is so good when i showed it at college 4 more people wanted it. The teddies are a joy to make even better if you enlarge them.
Absolutely charming! April 12, 2010 Mamabond (UK) This is such a charming book with some fantastic and sweet ideas to make around the home. I would say that this book is from a novice machinist to a pro. The patterns and instructions are really easy to follow, and can be used with other ideas too. Every project is just so cute and as soon as you read it you just can't wait to get making!! Definitely worth buying!
I love this book!!! March 26, 2010 A. H. Johnstone (United Kingdom) Smart little projects which would make fab gifts for anyone. There is a list of Suppliers in the back pages and every Item has a pattern though a photo copier or a pad of tracing paper will come in useful considering how they are set out to save space. I have already made a version of the mat for my son's bedroom and will be making my Christmas shopping this year.
Use [] to match the fabrics.
Another fantastic one for the craft shelf! March 25, 2010 S. Russell (UK) I bought this book along with the Christmas version and I love it just as much (despite the fact I'm a huge Christmas FREAK!) The photography is gorgeous and the projects are simple but beautiful! Definitely a book that I will dive into for many years to come!
