Excellent!!! July 18, 2010 Lesley I found the book to be very helpful, firstly read a passage at a time, then refer back to it as you need to. I sometimes need a reminder to keep me on course, and always find the book inspiring and of a comfort. The CD is brilliant too. Thoroughly recommended!!!
Change your life June 19, 2010 P. Donnelly (Scotland) This is a very readable self-help book, it sort of reads how you would imagine the author might speak, so it is like he is talking to you. The exercises are clearly described with some good examples to get you started with visualization. The only problem is the that the cd is quite limited in its use. There is only one track on it. Altho it definitely made a difference to me, I felt after about a week or so that people commented on my positivity and can do approach. Its a good tool and probably with constant use and diligent application could really change your life.
Wordy June 5, 2010 NorthBrit (Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wordy, Americanised psychobabble with the odd nugget of ancient 'but I already knew that' sort of wisdom.
Mr McKenna tries hard but he is not the master of the snappy saying or pithy axiom, is he?
I naively hoped to get something out of this book and made the effort to read it. It was truly an effort because his prose is tedious, crying out for a professional ghost writer to polish it up.
The title is grotesquely inflated.....'Change Your Life in Seven Days. ' Shortened to 'Change Your Life ' it would be a less extravagant (if still inaccurate) claim.
Nice ideas May 29, 2010 Sunflower888 (UK) Good book it really can work, but I felt after a few weeks, it's effects seem to have worn off.
I think it's a useful steer in how to get yourself out of a rut and back into the world of taking control of your life and steering it the way you are hoping to go. Pushing you to believe in yourself again.
If you can be bothered to do the exercises... April 14, 2010 Kyla 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a BRILLIANT book, and I think it really would change your life amazingly, if you can keep it up; consistency is the bit where most people fall down. As soon as my self discipline (something im working on improving) is strong enough, im going to give this a proper go and if i succeed ill come back and edit the review
