5 out of 5 stars Brilliant   July 23, 2010
J. Southern (London)
The continuing story of Mma Ramotswe is a pleasure. The author has captured the rhythym of Africa so well, the formality of society there as well as the challenges they face. Do start reading the series at the bginning or you will miss the development of the characters and how all the adventures fit together.

3 out of 5 stars Tea Time for the Traditionally Built The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agecy   July 10, 2010
P. MacPherson (United Kingdom)
I have read all these books and having lived in Botswana can relate to Precious but I have to say it took me ages to finish because I did find it as colourful as previous books, the story lack substance.

4 out of 5 stars Not as funny as some of the others   May 26, 2010
mother duck (Scotland)
The first few books in this series gave me some laugh-out-loud moments, which this title didn't. Since I am a series junkie, however, and I love the characters of the No. 1 detective agency, I still enjoyed the story.

It is remarkable as the first book in the series which reveals the name of Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni's younger apprentice - which, of course, I am not going tell you.

5 out of 5 stars Mma Ramotswe   May 23, 2010
Auld-Yin (Scotland)
Another very funny and refreshing book from AMS.

Mma Ramotswe and her crew make for gentle reading which is easy to read and easy to picture. The mental vision of Botswana remains in my head throughout the reading.

An excellent read - I enjoy the series.

5 out of 5 stars Charming!   April 24, 2010
F. Hornby (North West England)
Read (and loved!) all the books in the series and this didn't disappoint! A lovely way to unwind - a bit of escapism!
