Entertaining diversion - with a nod to the Godfather July 11, 2010 DaisyBelle Not the best book ever written by a long way but such criticism should not detract from the pacy plot. There was more than a touch of a female re-write of 'the Godfather' about this and the tale of revenge hits the mark more often than it misses. There are some genuinely shocking moments (esp. regarding one of the characters recent past in a 'hippie' commune). It's not overladen with sex (I had expected something different!) and the ending was unexpected and utterly believable (that's American politics, for you...)
It doens't merit more than 3 stars but to give it more it would have needed more development - something I believe Jackie Collins has gone on to do in later novels. I hope she keeps the 'grit' going and in those books and that it isn't all vacuous glam...
Jackie Collins classic! January 29, 2010 I must confess to being a dedicated Jackie fan - so my review will be biased! This is a typical Jackie "sex & drugs & rock`n`roll" classic involving three females intent on revenge by love - plenty of action, as usual, but not necessarily the ending you might expect!
Out of fashion killers August 9, 2009 Monica Negroni (Italy) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Jackie Collins not at her best: the book is predictable and the plot somewhat already known. Not as brilliant as her other novels. It is only worth in a rainy afternoon instead of watching the telly!

I read this book after having read another significantly longer book by Jackie Collins. I really enjoyed this book, and found it difficult to put down. The basic plot is someone gets murdered by a well known gangster, and her sisters, friends and lover seek revenge. They way in which the book was written, jumping from one character to another, meant it was a real page turner and kept you interested all the way to the end.
A definate recomendation.
Who killed the Love? October 16, 2002 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'VE HAD this book a while now, but I've only just read it. It's a great book with a thrilling storyline: Three girls seduce mob men in revenge of what they did to their friend. The basic plot is "Seduce & Destroy." It's the usual Jackie, but this time a little bit further away from the Hollywood glamour and glitz. This one's based in luxury hotels and manky underground seedy clubs. The characters are wicked, from the three girls with names like DivaStarz to the woman at the start who gets...ahem...holy. There's the usual sex, if not more, and she still succeeds in making them erotic without being vulgar. If you like Jackie, read this. It's not outstanding, but it's Jackie!
