Hadrian's Wall Map April 5, 2010 B 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The maps done by Ordinance Survey are brilliant maps, full of detail and full off information and last for ages. Especally the fully waterproof one's like this which helps keep dry especally if your like me and liable to drop it some where damp. The explorer maps are a nice scale for walking and you are able to pin point your position exactly with it's detail. As for the area it's really nice and beatuiful. Plenty of places to walk as you will find if you buy the map. Bare in mind this is central Hadrien's Wall not the full length of the wall. It would be nice to have a map of the full length but this is not with this map is for. There are more area's around this area than Hadrian's wall (Even thou it is great), try exploring the rest of the map it will be worth it. Enjoy yourself.
A lot of paper November 27, 2009 Patrick Woite 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Understanding, that maps have to have a certain training, it would have been nice to have a map, that would cut the excessive information to the north and south of the path and, instead, angle the map to hold the entire walk.Including the start and finish. Other than that, I like that the map holds also non-Hadrian-yet-still- historic information.
Almost Hadrian's Wall October 6, 2009 R. Luckman 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
A typical OS Explorer map. Can't complain about what it covers. The problem is that it doesn't cover the whole of Hadrian's Wall. Anyone who is planning on walking the whole of the wall would be better served by the Harvey Hadrian's Wall map which covers the entire route of the Hadrian's Wall Path.
Great detail, but not enough of it. July 14, 2009 Ken (Pittsburg, US, Canada) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this because its title/label suggests it covers all of the H.W. route. It does not. Of course, the Ordinance Survey maps are the best in the world, and they do provide more context than the segments reproduced in the National Trail Guides. However, with that tile/label, I would have expected a "Footprint" style map that includes the entire route.
Great for walking or cycling June 26, 2009 Mrs. J. Owen (Lancashire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have bought a number of these maps for when we are away in our motorhome. They are great for walking and cycling and getting to know areas in which you are staying.
