Excellent straightforward logical text June 23, 2010 Mike R (Scotland, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For those who would like to learn the written language in a logical and structured manner (unlike the approach taken in most modern simple texts), or would like to extend their knowledge systematically, this is an excellent text.
great for learning if you have the time. April 4, 2010 J. Groarke (Galway, Ireland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this book is great for learning a language, the tests at the end of the chapters are great for re-cap. obviously you still have to put in the time and the hard work to LEARN the material. but this makes it seem managable. i like that it is about learning the actual language, not like other books i picked up that were more about 'getting my in france' and essentially were phrasebooks.
would recommend.
mystifyingly grateful March 6, 2010 Mrs. V. Atkins 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I live in France and regrettably am having to learn French from scratch. I attend a 1 hour lesson once a week and my progress is very slow, but when this book arrived it has now inspired my confidence in that it is easy to understand and clearly further explains the mysteries of the french language.
