Product Description This lavishly illustrated film companion takes the reader on a journey into the magical world of Pandora, to get closer to the landscapes, creatures and characters of James Cameron's blockbuster epic, AVATAR. This is the only adult tie-in book to what many are already describing as the cinematic event of 2009.

poor pictures but extra information is great July 26, 2010 Skyhigh3 (London) first of all- visuals of this book- quality of the pictures are very poor(I will try to add example into book photos in a mian info area)can't really see the details. all blur and not high quality.some of them look like early stage of grahic design before movie was released. BUT->information you get is brillinat becuase many items werent used in a movie so book adds up extra details you would like to see( maybe in extended dvd version of the movie;)>?lets hope!) overall->must have for every fan!
Great book June 8, 2010 C. Frost Bought this for my son who absolutely loved it especially the 'clipped in' photo illustrations. Has kept him occupied for ages reading and re-reading it. Thoroughly recommend.
Avatar Extras April 27, 2010 S. Sergiou (uk) Who said the film doesn't have any extras!
This 200 page book is a must-have for anyone who, like me, was gripped with the beauty of the film.
It describes every detail of Pandora, as if it was real.
The landscape and inhabitants have been explained scientifically and accurately.
Completely fascinating.
James hasn't just produced a film, he has created a world, and this book describes every facet of it.
Highly recommended, along with the Art of Avatar book.
Not quite what I expected April 21, 2010 J. H. Chapple (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having seen the film which I thought was visually amazing, I was prepared to be amazed by the book.
Unfortunately, the book is supposed to look worn: so the pages are artifically 'dog eared', and the photos are smaller than I would have liked as they appear to be 'paper clipped', tilted an an angle to the pages or stuck in with what appears to be sticky tape. I suppose this makes the book look authentic.
I suspect it was also written for the Avatar Game, as there are lots of details on the armaments used; which I presume would be useful to a gamer.
If you were looking for a picture book of Pandora then this isn't it.
The title says it all... April 3, 2010 Mr. C. T. Brand (Norfolk, U.K.) If you were captivated by the varied species of flora and fauna when you visited Pandora, this book is a must.
Everything you could possibly want to know can be found here, and many more facts that you possibly didn't even consider. A superb book packed with information and pictures that will take you back to that wonderful planet, and a worthy companion to, possibly, the best sci-fi film ever made, for the moment...
